Mel, Kevin, Jerry and Dawn, Mary and Gerry welcomed our young family back in 1998 when moved to Iowa and didn’t know a soul. They were like that; salt of the earth folks who had a ready smile, listening ear, and a helpful hand. Mary was a compassionate and gracious friend thru life’s storms, and never judged people. Her service gave her joy, ( I know kept her young!) and blessed everyone around her, especially all the youngsters at church in MOPS and AWANA’s, including my own kids, Paul and Katie Sharp. Thinking of you with love and prayers; Michelle Humphreys

I live at Meth Wick Manor and was a good friend with Mary Christmas Lucille Young. We met in the laundry room and I asked her the second time her name and she said just think of Mary Christmas so that was her name to me. We laughed over that a lot. She was a sweet, gentle lady and tried so hard to get her strength back after her bad fall and surgery. Always had a smile and enjoyed each other's company as we went here and there. She will be missed.
May the Lord be with you and give you strength for each day. In Christian Love, Bert Long
