Just received word that we lost another dear friend "Tutlr" Hanson. Many, many fond memories flooded through my mind. The many time we all shared, growing up together in NNW Cedar Rapids. Where ther kids who attended St Pat's during the school years joined us together during the summer months at the Roosevelt Plygeround activities. The likes of Buck Pickerill, Dick Harger, "Ear" Learner, "Mouse Barrett", Pat "Duffey" , twin sister Pat Shannonhan, Jerry Dolan and many of others of Alex Fidlers "hustlers at Hill Park. Those were the days thats for sure. Tutle and my brother played together with Dancle Land and Whiteys in the major open and I think they bowled together at the DanceLand Bowling alley. Tutle grew up at 12th St and "B" Ave and I at 1145 C Ave NW, just a stone throw away. Please to read of the illustrial career theat Turtle enjoyed and his contributions to the Cedar Rapids comunity. Little know to many was his other knickname "Fats". But he will alway be known as "one hech of a guy". Rest in Peace friend . We will all join you shortly for a nother softball game. Dandydon

Kathy, Deb, Kay, Tina, Karen, Nancy and families, My heart breaks for all of you. Walt was such a great guy and I have so many fond memories of my time spent in the Hanson House. His Saturday night homemade pizza nights were the best! Praying for peace and comfort for all of you during this difficult time. Gail, Alex, Blayke & Camryn Brice

Deb and Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. God Bless, Chris Jennings

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We are sorry we won't be able to attend, as we are out of town. We always enjoyed visiting with Walt when he stopped by to see Carson and Bailry. Deepest sympathy, Rick and Kelli Buresh

Kathy, Nancy and family, So sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed. Linda Keister
