Robert Wayne Mallory passed away surrounded by family in the Custom Care unit at Meth-Wick Community, Cedar Rapid, IA on May 21, 2022. The family held a private funeral on May 25, 2022 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

He was known by all as “Bob.” He was a man of great faith in Jesus and dedicated his life to serving God, his country and his family. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1947-1950. He married Audrey Davis November 1,1948 and together they had seven children whom they raised mostly in Sorento and Decatur Illinois. Bob and Audrey moved to Springfield Illinois later in life where they owned and operated The Kitchen Bath and Cabinet Company until they retired. 

He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn (York) Mallory, six children, Roger Mallory (Janet) of Maroa, IL, Brenda Creviston (Dean) of Lovington, IL, Sheila Bullard (Larry) of Lubbock, TX, Mary Purcell (Bill) of Surprise, AZ, Ann Roehrkasse (Don) of Hiawatha, IA, and Phyllis Hill of Goodyear, AZ, two brothers Charles Mallory of Indiapolis, IN, Donald Mallory of Denver, CO and one sister, Jean Kipp of Keenesburg, CO. Bob has 21 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey (Davis) Mallory, daughter, Virginia Collis, granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wilson, his mother and father, two sisters and one brother. 

Bob was born in Brush Colorado March 19,1929.  He and his words of wisdom, poetry, and “Bobisms” will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He was an amazing woodworker, talented drummer, Biblical teacher and served on numerous church boards. Bob was known for his devotion as a husband, father and friend.
