Nancy’s service captured the essence of this wonderful woman. We all have many stories we could tell. One of my favorites was going with her to help negotiate when she bought her new red Chevrolet. She was so happy and we blasted “Wild Women Do” all the way home! My sympathies to all her friends and family as there will never be another like her. ??

Julia, our hearts hurt for your loss! Nancy was a dream of a friend. Who could ask for better? Our friendship goes back very many years when you were small and we all were younger! You were in our wedding...handing out rice packages outside the church (when that was accepted!) Your mom will be in our hearts and prayers! We send our love to you!

So sorry Julia, i was shocked to hear that your Mother passed away. It wasn't to long a go that we spoke and did message. As you know our relationship go way back. We were roommates while in nurses training. And then always keep in touch since that time. I have a picture of you and Lisa together when babies. So cute. Your Mother was always a lot of fun to be with. We used to have the best girl talks. I will sure miss her. My thought and prayers go out to you and your family.

We were shocked to see her obituary in Wednesday’s Gazette. Nancy was a great person and friend who we will always remember fondly. Lots of fun times in Anamosa. Julia, so glad you moved back here and were with her in her final days. Blessings,

Every time the Wunder family got together Nancy was there, she always was wonderful to be with, she left me wanting more time with her. I was married to Jim Wunder. Take care.

Sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I have donated to Palliative Care at UIHC in memory of Nancy. I have fond memories of Nancy. We were high school classmates.

Nancy, Nan, Nancesca, was a strong woman with a huge heart. She was the most authentic person I ever knew. I met her through our mutual friend, Sandra Kouba, then soon after worked with her at Cedar Memorial. We became fast friends and called each other Sistah. We lived separately in the same duplex, spent a week in San Antonio on vacation, she came to my family reunion in Las Vegas. She was a great storyteller and funny as all get out! I always said she had the Joker smile when she had something up her sleeve. I miss her presence on this earth. I loved her.

So sorry to hear of Nancy's death. It doesn't seem possible that someone with so much joy for life can be gone. My brother and Nancy were in school together in Morley. Her brother Fritz was a grade behind me. I hadn't seen her since Fritz's funeral, but I knew her forever. We belonged to TOPS together in Anamosa. I always enjoyed her sense of humor, and her obituary sounds just like her. My family sends our sympathies, and we will send a memorial to UI Pallative Care Unit. She will be missed and remembered.

Julia - sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. It sounds like she was a great person, may she Rest In Peace. ??

Julia, I worked with your Mom at Cedar Memorial. I was so sorry to read about her passing. What a great picture you chose. It captured her essence, big personality and great smile. I saw her a couple of years ago and talked to her when your uncle Fritz passed away. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Julie...i worked with your Mom at the old Anamosa Comm. Hosp. We were both Techs...always had a big smile. I loved working with her..Rest in peace.

Nancy was a funny wonderful gal. My sympathies to her family.

Dear Julia, my prayers go out to you and your family at this sad time. I grew up in Morley with Nancy and have many fond memories of her. The old Buick she drove us to school in Olin, the 4-H years baking banana bread hundreds of times to get it right (We got a Blue Ribbon at State Fair!) She was so fun loving and a joy to be around. Until we meet again, may God hold her in the palm of His hand. Donna June

My thoughts go out to you Julia & your family. Nancy is another angel in heaven now. She has been a good friend for many years and she will forever live in our hearts. She made this world a brighter place. Now she can light up the heavens like a star. She likes to travel so hopefully she has a great set of wings. God Bless. Theresa & Family
