Born February 09, 1949 in Savannah, Georgia to Bessie Lee and Walter Sanders. Georgia spent most of her childhood living in Savannah where she attended school and participated in various social activities while tending to her younger brothers and sisters. 

Services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017, 11:00 am, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service at the church.  
 
At the age of 17, Georgia and her family relocated to Chicago Illinois where she attended Hirsch High School. After attending high school, Georgia entered the workforce and met her husband Edwin Vasser. Georgia spent the majority of her adult life living in Illinois, Iowa, and Georgia. She spent the last few years in Houston, Texas with her son.
 
Georgia leaves behind: Her Husband  (of 51 years) Edwin Vasser of Houston, TX. 6 children: Stephanie Ceaser of St. Louis, MO; Raymond Vasser (Deena) of Cedar Rapids, IA; Chavon Vasser (Mark) of Houston, Texas. Edwin Andre Vasser Jr (Antoinette) of Cedar Rapids, IA; Sonya Vasser of Davenport, IA; Kendrick Vasser (Kimberly) of Waterloo, IA.
 
2 Brothers: Donald Sanders and Willie Sanders both of Savannah, Georgia. 5 Sisters: Annie Lee Wesley, Luvenia Ferguson (Donald), Lavon Grant (Larry), all of Savannah GA, Lillian Sanders and Jacquelin Canty (Steve) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Carol Linda Sanders of Green Bay WI. 25 Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews the numerous people she touched in a special way and referred to her as Momma.
 
She was a virtuous woman who dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and remained a child of GOD through her entire life. She was preceded in death by: Her mother (Bessie Lee Sanders) and father (Walter Sanders).
 
Four brothers: Walter Jr., Leroy Sanders, Edward Sanders, and Arthur Sanders One Sister Barbara Howard One Grandson Martez Ceaser SR. The Lord saw fit to call her home on December 09, 2017. Georgia Vasser will forever be in the hearts of those whose lives she had touched during her journey on this Earth
