Robert and family... I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was always kind with his time and always seemed to have a good story or a pleasant remark for you. If anything, he reminded me of how much we should enjoy and embrace life with both gratitude and care. My condolences from yours, Gretchen and all the Daugherty family.

You know I have been trying to figure out what to say about the passing of this one of a kind man! He (and Diane) are a HUGE part of my life! I have had the honor of personal training Hal and Diane for almost 8 1/2 years - my life has forever been changed. It is hard to put into words what Hal has given me over the years - I loved listening to his stories - boy did he have a lot! He made me laugh, he made me cry he made this world a better place. He will forever hold a very special place in my heart - I sure did love that man - Mr. Becker rest in peace - I will miss you...

So sorry to learn of Hal's passing, but it was truly a life well lived. Our sincere condolences to the entire family.

Sherri, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. What a wonderful article about him in the Gazette. I know how proud you were of him and how close the two of you were. You were able to spend some great times with him over the last couple of years and have great memories. We send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Love, Jerry and Helene

The Board and the staff of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art express with profound sadness the passing of Harold Becker, who served as a CRMA Endowment Trustee 1999-2000 and then as a member of the Museum's Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2006, where he served on the Finance Committee. His business and financial acumen served the Museum well as did his devotion to his community. Prior to serving on the Museum's Board, Harold was active in making certain every child in the Grant Wood Area Education Agency was able to access the Museum through the generous underwriting of Guaranty Bank & Trust (1989-2001). More than 60,000 Student Membership cards were issued annually. Guaranty Bank was also a supporter of the Museum's 2001 Endowment campaign, Framing the Future. He will be missed, not only by the Museum but by the entire community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Oh my, Harold was a perfect example of a life well-lived, loved by his family and friends, respected by his business counterparts. He was a man of integrity and honesty. Cedar Rapids was well-served by his example and his contributions at many levels. Thank you for sharing your time and wisdom with us!

Hal Becker, our brother-in-law, a real friend, will always be missed. Whenever Shirley and I were with Hal we knew we were with the most honest of men and the truest friend one could have. He made our lives so very much richer and fuller. We extend our condolences to the entire family.

Harold was a cousin of mine and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was always a good and honest person would always ask if he could help for any problem one had. He will be very much missed by those who knew and admired him.

Dianne, Lee and I were so sorry to hear of Hal's passing and want to extend our sincere condolences We know this is a tremendous loss for you and the family. Hal was a very special and unique individual that many people do not have the privilege of knowing in a lifetime. He was a successful businessman, loving husband and father, and a friend to so many. He was full of humor and It was a joy just talking with him on the phone. We are so happy that you and Hal found each other and were able to spend so many years together. The two of you built an abundant amount of wonderful memories that will stay with you for the remainder of your lifetime.

Robert and Diane, we send you and your family our deepest sympathy. Your loss is great and we believe the community's loss is significant as well. Harold was a leader who will be missed.

We are sorry to hear of the loss of Brother Harold Another true pillar of the the Community has laid his working tools down..

My family and I extend our sincere condolences at Harold's passing. As former Guaranty employees, my dad, Art Taschner, (who passed in February 2016) and I both experienced the sense of family that he brought to the workplace. My father so enjoyed his visits and stories with Harold in the elevators and the hallways of the Guaranty building. May your memories console and comfort you in the times to come.

Harold was a fantastic example of loving and giving back to his community. I had the privilege of working for him for a number of years and enjoyed his special combination of work ethic, common sense, and humor. He will be missed and I appreciate his influence on my life and career.

Very sorry to hear of Harold's passing. He was both a personal and business friend. He will be missed.

It was my honor to know Harold Becker over the last 37 years. He was a pillar in both the Cedar Rapids community and certainly in the Iowa Jewish community. He had strong beliefs and he lived accordingly. He cared a lot about average people struggling to survive. After speaking to Harold, one would always be reminded that he had a keen sense of fairness and a great deal of wisdom. He was good to his community, sharing his time generously. He was a great father, grandfather and husband. I celebrate knowing him and that he was blessed with a long and successful life. May his family have strength during this difficult time.

I will fondly remember Harold Becker as a very far and honest businessman who served his country well and to be acknowledged on this Memorial Day weekend.

Harold left the world better than he found it. He had a Mason's heart that was evident in all he did. I celebrate his life. William C. Jacobson. 33

Dianne, I am so sorry to hear of Harold's passing. My thoughts are with you. I still to this day, remember when you came rushing into my small office and said "come with me". You were so excited to show me the little red convertible Harold has just given you. I have other memories of the two of you and stories you shared, but those will remain between you and I. You were a very special couple and it was obvious how much you meant to each other. Please, now take care of yourself. Lynn Greve (T-Sales secretary)
