Dianne, I am so sorry to hear of Harold's passing. My thoughts are with you. I still to this day, remember when you came rushing into my small office and said "come with me". You were so excited to show me the little red convertible Harold has just given you. I have other memories of the two of you and stories you shared, but those will remain between you and I. You were a very special couple and it was obvious how much you meant to each other. Please, now take care of yourself.

Harold left the world better than he found it. He had a Mason's heart that was evident in all he did. I celebrate his life.

It was my honor to know Harold Becker over the last 37 years. He was a pillar in both the Cedar Rapids community and certainly in the Iowa Jewish community. He had strong beliefs and he lived accordingly. He cared a lot about average people struggling to survive. After speaking to Harold, one would always be reminded that he had a keen sense of fairness and a great deal of wisdom. He was good to his community, sharing his time generously. He was a great father, grandfather and husband. I celebrate knowing him and that he was blessed with a long and successful life. May his family have strength during this difficult time.

My family and I extend our sincere condolences at Harold's passing. As former Guaranty employees, my dad, Art Taschner, (who passed in February 2016) and I both experienced the sense of family that he brought to the workplace. My father so enjoyed his visits and stories with Harold in the elevators and the hallways of the Guaranty building.
May your memories console and comfort you in the times to come.

Dianne,
Lee and I were so sorry to hear of Hal's passing and want to extend our sincere condolences We know this is a tremendous loss for you and the family. Hal was a very special and unique individual that many people do not have the privilege of knowing in a lifetime. He was a successful businessman, loving husband and father, and a friend to so many. He was full of humor and It was a joy just talking with him on the phone. We are so happy that you and Hal found each other and were able to spend so many years together. The two of you built an abundant amount of wonderful memories that will stay with you for the remainder of your lifetime.

The Board and the staff of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art express with profound sadness the passing of Harold Becker, who served as a CRMA Endowment Trustee 1999-2000 and then as a member of the Museum's Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2006, where he served on the Finance Committee. His business and financial acumen served the Museum well as did his devotion to his community. Prior to serving on the Museum's Board, Harold was active in making certain every child in the Grant Wood Area Education Agency was able to access the Museum through the generous underwriting of Guaranty Bank & Trust (1989-2001). More than 60,000 Student Membership cards were issued annually. Guaranty Bank was also a supporter of the Museum's 2001 Endowment campaign, Framing the Future. He will be missed, not only by the Museum but by the entire community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Robert and family... I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was always kind with his time and always seemed to have a good story or a pleasant remark for you. If anything, he reminded me of how much we should enjoy and embrace life with both gratitude and care. My condolences from yours, Gretchen and all the Daugherty family.
