Larry Ray Barker, Age 76, of Center Point, IA, passed away at his home on June 2, 2026.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1 PM until service time at 2 PM with the Certified Celebrant, Cindi McKee officiating.
Larry was born on June 8, 1949, in Kirksville, MO. He was the son of the late John Rex and Margaret Ann (Hayden) Barker. He was one of three children. Larry started Complete Automotive in Center Point in 1987 and ran it until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed boating and was a professional bass fisherman.
Those left to cherish Larry’s memory are his wife Vicky; his children, John Barker, Joshua (JoAnn) Barker, Dawn (Michael) Lopata, and Lindsay Barker; his grandchildren, Samantha, Shelby, Madyson, Mason, Madelyn, Morgan, Makenna, and Ada; his great-grandchildren, Amirah, Soriah, and Axel; a step-son, Paul Godwin; step-daughters, Carrie (Steph) Jones-Warnick, Allison (Rod) Rosburg and Michelle Baker; step-grandchildren, Rachel (Marty), Reanna, Holly (Greg), Emily, Kyla, Tanner, Gage (Mae), Mason, Nick, Jack, and Kobi; step-great-grandchildren, Laekyn, Wesley, Camile, and Atlas; sister, Gloria Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife, Ida, a son Larry Barker, Jr., and a brother, John “JB” Barker.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Palo Fire Department in honor of his son Larry Barker, Jr.
