Shirley A. Coleman, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away after a long illness on October 1, 2026.
Shirley was born on February 17, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Annabelle (Ellis) Reid. She married Darrel Coleman on June 19, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, and they enjoyed 67 wonderful years together. She enjoyed gardening and traveling and was a 50+ year member of the Sweet Adelines.
Shirley is survived by her son, Rick (Cathy) Coleman of North Liberty, grandchildren, Amanda Coleman of Cedar Rapids, Travis (Cassie) Coleman of Goleta, California, Keith (Whitney) Coleman of Thornton, Colorado, brother, Dick (Marge) Reid of Iowa City, her dog, Mikey, and grand dog, Dr. Doogie Schnauzer M.D.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darrel Coleman, and son, Doug Coleman.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom.
Private burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
