I believe Jim knew me longer than I knew him, having grown up together in this community. With his son John at St. Paul's UMC and as John as classmate at Washington HS.
I remember Jim at church, and at work at Smulekoff’s where he assisted my parents and I in the past, in our Tucker family business office needs.
Joanne, we are grieving and praying for you, as well for family, Julia and Jeff. I enjoyed two conversations with classmates of John and Julia, who also grew up at St. Paul's and at school together. I can think back seeing my parents and Jim during his work and care. His passing brought back memories of all the Kimber family growing up here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. How time has passed by over the past 60 years.
