Tom was born on August 18, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Bernice and Frank Kramer.  Tom grew up around the Cedar River and started working at a very young age on the docks.  He was hard working man that could fix just about anything and took pride in keeping his K5 Blazer in mint condition and restoring a 1950 Ford pickup truck.  Tom spent his entire career working at Penford.  Tom found the love of his life and best friend Pam, in 1980.  They later moved to Lisbon, Iowa where they married and built their dream home complete with a stocked pond, plenty of woodlands and beautiful countryside views.

Tom enjoyed hunting and as well as traveling and camping with Pam to National Parks.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand or teach you a life lesson. Tom loved a good margarita and watching all the Iowa Hawkeye sports teams.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Angie (Scott) Lagerquist of Cedar Rapids, and Kara (Joe) Vaughan of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Ron Young and Erin (Matt) Morris of Cedar Rapids, Cooper Vaughan and Chloe Vaughan of Ashburn, Virginia; great grandchild, Lincoln Morris of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Terry (Barbara) Kramer and Jan (Stephanee) Kramer of Cedar Rapids, and many nieces and nephews.  Stepchildren include Heather (Dallas) Sickels of Independence, Iowa and Eric (Joni) Jones of Oak Ridge, Missouri; step grandchildren, Cody Koranda, Bradley Sickels, Riley Sickels, Coleton Grimes, Keegan Jones, Eden Losch, Haylie Jones, and Kylie Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pam Kramer, parents; and brother, Glenn Medhus.
