Our thoughts and prayers are with you Corrine and the family. We are so sorry for your loss, I know his loss will be so difficult. Corrine I didn't realize Rick was so close to my age, I always thought of you both as, well I am your Aunt. We would have been there at the rememberance however I am not well myself. We were there in heart, spirit and love. Rick was always so kind and had such a big smile. Chuck enjoyed golf with him and Uncle Norm and found to be alot of fun on the course. RIP Rick, your left behind quite a large hole and the family will miss that huge smile. Much love, Aunt Deni and Uncle Chuck

My thoughts and prayers are with you Corrine and your kids. Also to rest of his siblings and family. Rick was a great buddy to my Brother Mike, from way back to the good ole school days. I always remember him coming around back then, always happy and a smile. Over the last year and a half, the friendship he had for my brother Mike that had cancer. Which carried on after he passed, to help me and my family. The things he was capable of and he could make look easy. He worked hard for the people he really cared about. He spoke so often and about his wife and family. I felt like I knew them all. I wish I had the pleasure to meet them. All he did was to make things easier and better for the ones around him. Rick will always be a shinning star.

My thoughts and prayers are with Corrine and their children. I have such great memories being around this great guy. He and his entire family are such great people. He will forever be in my memories.

My condolences to the Homes family. Rick was a classmate of mine at St. Pius X School from 2nd grade through 8th grade, and we had recently exchanged greetings on FaceBook. I remember Rick as having a great sense of humor and a warm personality. We loved hearing him talk about his family's adventures at their "cabin up in Delhi." I will never forget how much fun our Eighth Grade Science Fair was, because Rick's project was on how phonographs work. So we got to spend the day listening to the song "Low Rider" by War. Leave it to Rick to take what could've been a boring event and make it fun! Eternal test grant unto Rick, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace!

So sad to hear this news. Rick was a good friend of mine at St Pius. We played football and road motorcycles. Loved having Rick as a friend, he was fun to be with. My thoughts and prayers to the Holmes Family. RIP Rick, you were loved.

Who didn't love Rick Holmes! Just a gem of a guy who will be greatly missed, always remembered and forever impactful to all who knew him. I truly loved this guy and my heart goes out to all of the Holmes Family & Friends.

Corrine and family: I am so sorry and shocked at the news of Rick E Holmes passing away at a young age of 64. I know that his life was cut short and that he was the best spouse and father a family could ever ask for. Also he was a GREAT mud racer competing against the other mud "boggers"! May he never be forgotten and remembered often. Paul L Pickart

So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. Worked with him years ago. We did father daughter dance together with our daughters at studio dance. Neither one of us was very good. LOL He was the nicest and toughest guy I ever met. Gonna miss him a lot. God bless

Oh Rick, remember how crazy our elementary years were at St Pius, our small knit class being so close and you were the wild and crazy guy that kept things fun and lively…..the class trip to Des Moines…. The first ever boy, girl party at my house ( chaperoned ) because of you, no doubt…. So many good memories of you so early in life of you, and the class at St Pius…. Prayers to you and your family my friend.??

I graduated with Rick from JFK and can still see and hear his lovable, goofy smile and laugh. My thoughts and prayers to all during this shocking and sad time.

So sad to hear of Ricks passing. What a great friend from our mud racing years in the late 70’s . He always had a big smile on his face to greet friends. My condolences.

Corinne & Holmes Family- I’m truly sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him for a few years. He would always have a smile on his face and loved telling stories about family, friends and adventures. He will be missed by a lot of people. Keep the memories close at heart. Deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time.

Great guy, great family. God only knows what kind of mischief him and Bob are up to now but they both are in my heart.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rick during the recent Ingredion strike. I had heard many stories about Rick prior to meeting him from my boyfriend but I was so blessed to meet him. We had many laughs and he shared many stories. In my short time of knowing him, he truly touched my heart. It was clear he cherished his family more than words can describe. The pride that he exuded when speaking about his kids moved me. I know I didn’t know very long but he has left a last impact on me. My deepest condolences are with his family during this difficult time. To “Pretty Ricky”, thank you for welcoming me with open arms to your world and sharing your stories. You are truly one of a kind and will be truly missed by all that have met you.

Corinne and family- Rick will be greatly missed by many people. Lean on each other, and hold tight to your wonderful memories. Lynne, Matt and Michael Smith
