Phyllis McLaud (88) of Des Moines (formerly of Cedar Rapids) passed away on January 19, 2022 at her daughter’s home.
A Visitation will take place at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories from 11am-1pm on Monday January 24, 2022 with funeral service starting at 1pm. Burial to follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A livestream of the service will be available under obituary tab on the funeral home website starting at 1pm on Monday January 24, 2022. A cookie reception will follow the service at the Cedar Memorial Family Center.
Phyllis Arlene Polton was born September 27, 1933 in Marengo, Iowa; the daughter of Hubert and Elmree (Jenkins) Polton. Phyllis was united in marriage to David McLaud on September 29, 1951. She retired from Ralston Foods in 1994. She was an avid golfer and she enjoyed gambling. Phyllis was passionate about her family.
Phyllis is survived by three sons Dave (Dixie), Tim (Cinda), Michael (Kitser); a daughter Julie (Kraig) Rosendahl; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband David, parents, three brothers and one sister
