On behalf of the Coe community, please accept our sympathies on the passing of Kirsten. I had the opportunity to work with Kirsten personally; she gave of herself in so many ways and was proud to be a Coe alumna. We are so appreciative of her service and support of Coe and very sorry for your loss.

Sending my condolences to the entire Smith family. My thought and prayers are with you.

I was incredibly saddened to hear of Kirsten's passing this week. Even though I hadn't talked to her in a few years, I loved seeing her Instagram pictures and videos, and I enjoyed keeping up with all the good work she was doing for the Humane Society. I had the privilege of serving with her on the Humane Society Board for a few years and I will never forget that time. I think back on it very fondly. The late nights in the conference room at True North, putting together auction items in my basement, going out for drinks after a long meeting... She was a leader, a friend, caring, funny, and she always put others (and animals!) before herself. I was able to attend her funeral virtually today, and I could feel all the love for her even through the computer. I will miss her always but I am thankful that I got to spend the time that I did with her. God Bless.

Sending condolences to the entire family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. It was a beautiful service. I know a few colleagues of Kirsten's at TrueNorth who had nothing but incredible things to say about her.

There are no words to express my sorrow for the loss of Kirsten. She was bright, talented, passionate, caring, giving, humble and a dear friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Lila, Duane, Laura, Ellen, Jason and the rest of her family as well as her many friends. She touched a lot of lives. Kirsten's contributions to her community and the people she knew were exceptional. RIP my friend.

On behalf of the Virginia side of the family, I want to extend my deepest heartfelt wishes to everyone. For a young life to be taken in such a fashion leaves us all shocked. However, we can only take with us that which we created in this world by virtue of our soul,,, that being the love we shared. Kristen created a river of love where ever she went and the world is the beneficiary of that legacy. So when you look around you will see her handiwork everywhere you gaze. Start with our family. So much love shared. Her work in the community,,, again made so much better for her time here. Perhaps her time was cut short, but it is now up to us to continue the work she started. She is remembered as long as we speak her name and tell the stories of her love. Her work will speak for us long after we too join her someday. She is in fact endless. Mourn today, laugh with her soon. Speak her name always! For death is nothing when there is so much love. Roger and Ana

I first met Kirsten when she joined TrueNorth in 2004. She was such a great addition to the company and her passion for her friends and family were/are so evident. She and I both became first time moms together in 2009 and continued our friendship after I left TrueNorth in 2010 through social media, trips to Target and annual TrueNorth events I was able to attend. Lila was the apple of Kirsten's eye and loved so much. I am devasted for so many of those that were her family and life-long friends. Sending prayers and comfort to all. She will be so missed here on earth, but never forgotten.
