My friendship with Karen goes way back to the 1960s when we were members of Venture Club Young Soroptimists. We did tons of volunteering together, including weekly service in the St. Luke's Hospital Flower Stall. After the local Venture Club chapter closed, we members still kept together as a little dining-out group, and we often enjoyed miniature golf and other local entertainment activities as a "club." After our parents were gone, some of us kept together to enjoy our birthdays and the Thanksgiving holiday with a potluck, followed by some rounds of Canasta and 'Hand And Foot.' Karen really enjoyed the game and played it well. Always fun were the times we Venture gals would gather at each others' homes for dessert and conversation, and Karen's Boston Terriers would always provide us with entertainment. I am glad for the memories of those glorious days, and will always remember Karen as being a big part of them and a good, good friend. My sincere condolences to Karen's family.

Quinn and Kacy you have my deepest sympathies. I am sorry for your loss. Karen was such a wonderful lady. Her love for watching birds and walking to stay active will always be remembered. She had the brightest smile and always complimented others. I will miss her greatly. May she Rest In Peace.
