Jacqueline Carney, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Northbrook Care Center. Services will be held Tuesday April 23, 2024, 11:00 am, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include: nephew and niece, Jeffery (Judy) McNabb and Diane McNabb; sister in-law, Jacqueline McNabb, great nieces and nephews, Jill, Ryan, Janelle and Jared, step daughter, Teri Baker, step son, Steve (Lisa) Carney, grandchildren; Brittany Carney, Andrew Carney, Matthew Baker, Keri Mackey, and Tim Bruner , along with a great grandchildren, Ella Baker, Maria Bruner, and, Randy Jr Mackey.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carney, parents, and brothers, Edward, David, Ronald, and Donald, nephews, Mark and David, a great nephew, David, along with a sister in-law, Michelle.
Jacqueline (McNabb) Carney was born February 15, 1936 to Sherman and Frances McNabb in Iowa City, Iowa. Jackie graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married Jack Carney in April 1979 in Las Vegas. Jackie loved spending time with her dogs, gardening, was a great cook, enjoyed spending family time with nieces and nephews. Aunt Jackie was a loving, caring person, who will be missed by many and all those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Cedar Valley Humane Society .
