Constance Darlene Rote, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday September 14, 2021. Services: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday September 21, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held on Monday September 20, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Harry Rote, her children, Brad Tatro of Texas, James Rote of Burlington, Iowa, Corey R. (Amanda) Rote, Carmon L. (Katie Jones) Rote, Ben (Annie) Rote and Savannah L. (Neal Johnson) Rote, her siblings, Sandy Williams, Therese (Lester) Holderness and Vickie (Leonard) Weems all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Also surviving are many grandchildren, a great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ron Sturgeon.
Constance was born June 23, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Dean and June (Wasendorf) Sturgeon. She married Harry Rote on March 9, 1979, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She enjoyed tin can hunting, country and church music and feeding the birds and squirrels. Constance enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and pets Heather and Sarah.
