Edna M. Marlett, 92 of Cedar Rapids died on Saturday January 2, 2021 at the Gardens of Cedar Rapids. A private family service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The service will be live streamed at 10:00 AM on Wednesday January 6, 2021 and may be viewed at: https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/93344086.   Burial at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk. There will be a visitation on Wednesday January 6th, 2021 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories from 9 to 10 AM.

As mandated by proclamation, social distancing must be practiced which requires a limited number of people to be allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of facemasks or shields is required.  

Survivors include her husband Eugene, a daughter Jana Marlett (David Zangerle) all of Cedar Rapids, two sons Tom of West Des Moines and Marc (Kristie) of Snohomish, Washington. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Betty, and a daughter-in-law Dee.

Edna was born on September 15, 1928 in Keokuk the daughter of James and Edna (Noelke) Roberts. She married Eugene B. Marlett on August 16, 1953 in Keokuk. 

Edna worked at Bell Telephone Company and  retired from there after 30 year of service.

She was a member of P.E.O. and Questers Preservation. Edna enjoyed travel with her husband Gene, gardening, cooking and especially time spent with her family and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
