Edna was a beautiful spirit. I am so glad we were able to meet her and be blessed by her smile, kindness and generosity. Tom and kids -- I am sorry you are having to endure this loss so soon after Dee. We can only imagine how great the smiles are in heaven as they join together. I can picture Dee welcoming her and the laughter of the two of them together. May the memories of Edna's presence on this Earth last forever in our hearts and provide comfort at this time.

With deepest sympathy for your loss. We always enjoyed our friendship with her and always remember the great time socializing with families. Barry and Sally

I have many precious memories of visits from the Marlett family to my home in Macomb when I was a child. Fred and Gene would come with their parents, Mable and Eddie Marlett to visit us during those depression years. What a joy it was when they came to visit! In later years, my husband LeVerne Bissell and I were privileged to stop in Iowa and visit Gene and Edna. What precious cousins! May Our Lord be near you and comfort and guide you in this time of sorrow! My Love and prayers, Juanita.

Edna was very special to us. We have so many memories of fun trips, dinners, Iowa football games, Farm Bureau state and national meetings, and Quester Club meetings including a trip to Raleigh-Durham North Carolina for a national convention. We will miss Edna very much. We are thinking of all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

About 30 years ago a young Denny and Sandy Cloe moved to Crownflair Drive in West Des Moines and were welcomed by neighbors one can only hope for-Gene and Edna Marlett. Many late afternoons Edna would call and invite me over to discuss her latest home improvement/decorating scheme. It invariably ended with us sharing a glass of wine and some snacks. My personal favorite was when she turned the living room into a dining room and the dining room into a sitting room. We missed them terribly when they left Crownflair. God bless Gene and the family and both Edna and Gene will forever be treasures in our lives.

Jana. You and your family have me deepest sympathy
