Sandy, I just learned of your father's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending my deepest sympathy, and hoping you and your family are doing as well as can be expected. You're in my thoughts.

We thought the world of your Dad! He will be missed. He should did love our Collie!

Sandra: Tom and I offer our sympathy to you and your family. We read about his demise early this morning in the Gazette. We stopped by to visit him in the middle of Sept as Tom had several appointment's to attend that week in preparation for his total knee replacement Oct 4th. He came to the door and we had a very nice visit. We didn't realize at first if he knew us. If he did or didn't know us, we talked about many things. We wish we could be there Friday for the memorial service. Tom had his 2nd knee replacement last Thursday at Mercy. He is using a walker for awhile then a cane and hopefully on his own soon. He' s going through therapy as he did before. Last night he was having a lot of discomfort, but managed to get through the night. His next therapy session is tomorrow at 11:15 AM. Your father was a great guy and all of you will have very fond memories to cherish. Tom remembers the time, years ago, that Grant invited Tom to a golf outing at Cedar Rapids Country Club and he had a great time playing with Grant. Sharon will always remember how he and your mother were so kind to her parents. Tom and Sharon

Sandy and family, we are thinking about you as you mourn Grant's death. Your loss is deep but we also believe he will be missed by his community as well. A kind and gentle man - our sympathy to you all.
