Francis L. “Frank’ Wagner, 88 of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday January 30, 2019 at his home. Services at 1:00 PM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah; three sons Robert (Cheryl) of Cedar Rapids, Bruce (Phyllis) of Marion, Brian (Debbie) of Waterloo and one daughter, Lynn (Bill) Congleton of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Douglas, one brother and one sister.
Frank was born on November 11, 1930 in Garden City, South Dakota the son of LeRoy and Alice (Ranney) Wagner. He married Beulah C. Tonsager on February 19, 1950 in Wyoming, Iowa.
Frank worked in maintenance both at 1st National Bank for several years and later at Cummins Central Power, retiring from there after more than 20 years of service.
Frank enjoyed pitching horseshoes, wood working, watching the Hawkeyes, and especially the time spent with his beloved family and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. A memorial fund has been established.
