Willie Bea Pirtle, 63, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday December 15, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital. Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 22, 2018 at Word of Faith Penecostal Church in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held on Friday December 21, 2018 at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4-7 p.m. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Pirtle, Tachella Pirtle and Tania Pirtle all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her mother, Rosie Pledge, her siblings, Willie Jones, of Cedar Rapids, Dessie Young of Tennessee, Debra Jones, Ernest Jones, Crisca Jones, Lester Jones, James Terry Jones and William Warwick all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her grandchildren; Demetrice Wright, Drevelous Wright, Von Jahnigah Pirtle, Danesha Wright, Vonjahniqah, Von Niika Pirtle, Jada Pirtle and Janyah Pirtle. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Curtis Jones, her step-mother, Arnie Jones, her brother, Larry Jones and granddaughter, Issie Baker.
Willie was born December 5, 1955 in Gaston, Tennessee, the daughter of Willie and Rosie Jones. She enjoyed bingo, fishing, knitting and crochet. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
