Dear Donald, Jimmy, Maryann and spouses and grandchildren: Mabel, Gail , Tom and I were so sad to hear about Dorothy's passing. Unfortunately after Uncle Don was transferred to Iowa we didn't see them often enough. But one of our favorite memories was visiting your parents and Don in their apartment in Metuchen NJ. We enjoyed getting out of Jersey City and seeing Donald who is our age. But i also remember what a terrific baker Aunt Dorothy was. Mabel told her she learned all about baking when she was a teen with a part time job in the nearby bake shop. YUMMY! I could see how proud Dottie was when she brought out the cake and began slicing and handing out pieces to everyone.Dorothy wasn't just pretty she had a good heart and kind to my sister and I. She would build up our confidence with generous praise and we deeply appreciated that. No doubt she's in heaven with our Father and our Blessed Mother Mary. When we rise up she'll be waiting to greet us and love us again. She's with you in spirit for now, watching over all of you till you meet again. Hold on to that belief. Love to all, Mabel, Gail, Judy and Tom.

Dear family of Dorthy and Donald Young., I am so happy to have been a neighbor and a friend of Dot and Don..My condolences to the family.. Your parents were such wonderful neighbors and friends.. You were blessed to have such caring parents. Bless you all and carry their lessons with you always. Mae Crocker and Family

Our mother Mabel was the oldest of the four Hausser girls and there were also two brothers; John and Henry. I remember going to aunt Dorothy's apartment in Metuchen, NJ where my cousin Donald (Dorothy's first born) my sister Gail and I could reconnect and enjoy each others company. But I also looked forward to the desserts there; aunt Dorothy was a terrific baker. Her cakes were not only delicious but beautifully decorated; just like a professional baker. She always fussed over my sister and I and we enjoyed her sweet, kind disposition. Unfortunately, when Quaker Oats moved to Iowa the Sunday visits came to an end. I'm sure Dorothy missed us as much as we missed her. She was a petite and very pretty woman. Condolences and prayers to Donald, Jimmy and Marianne; their spouses and children. We hope the happy memories of Dorothy will live in your hearts forever. For sure we'll all meet again when we rise up and meet our Lord. Love and Hugs to all the family, Mabel, Gail, Judy and Thomas Farrell

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Don and Sandy, Jimmy and Sandy, Marianne and their children and grandchildren. Aunt Dorothy always reminded us of her Mom, Nana, always thinking about others and how they were doing. We always enjoyed when Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Don would come in to visit family (Uncle Don still holds the record for fewest hours to ride from Cedar Rapids to North Arlington in his TransAm). It was great to see when Aunt Dot and her sisters and Nana got together at the kitchen table to talk about what was going on in their respective lives. Of course Uncle Don and our father would be in the living room and just look at each other and say: "My God those girls can talk". May you Rest IN Peace Aunt Dot. Love Rich and GeriAnn

Grandma Young was a very special person in my life. I have wonderful memories of birthdays, Easter and Christmas Eve parties with my Grandma. When I was 14, I chose Grandma to be my Confirmation sponsor. We talked about family, school and life in general. Grandma absolutely LOVED when we made Snickerdoodle cookies together. As years went by, I continued to stop by with treats for Grandma and she would always make a pot of coffee for us to share! We never ran out of things to talk about. Grandma was always full of energy, love and compliments. Grandma always had a way of making me feel very special. I will miss my grandma very much. I love you Grandma Young. Give Grandpa a hug for me. Rest in Peace. Love your granddaughter, Heidi

To The Young Family, Aunt Dorothy had a long blessed life that brought joy and happiness to all that knew her. She was an extremely kind and caring person that was greatly loved by her entire family. Though we are many miles apart we stand together as a family by your sides with love and prayers. Our Deepest Condolences, Warren and Nancy Caswell

Grandma, commonly known as GG to her great-grand children, was a caring, sweet person who will be missed deeply. My boys and I enjoyed visiting GG at her home, the boys playing in the living room while Grandma and I had coffee and heartfelt conversations in the kitchen. Give Grandpa a big hug for us. Rest in peace Grandma. Love your granddaughter, Heather
