Bonnie Lou Sasek, 75, of Marion passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2pm-5pm at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church, burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery.
Bonnie Lou Sasek was born on May 29, 1942; the daughter of Hugh and Alta (Hartson) Rawson.
Bonnie retired in 2008 as a secretary for the department of human services. She enjoyed her retirement years developing her flower garden, bird feeding, and butterflies. She loved holidays and gatherings with her kids and grandkids. Grandma always made days special for everyone. She loved the Lord. One of her favorite verses was Psalm 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gary Rawson.
Left to cherish Bonnie’s memories are her children, Todd (Melanie) Sasek of Ulm, Montana, Greg (Denise) Sasek of Hiawatha, Tami Hoff of Marion and Jeff Sasek and significant other Maritza Rodriguez of Cedar Rapids; 22 grandchildren; two sisters Sharon Morris of Traer and Pam Klima of Delhi.
A memorial has been established in Bonnie’s name.
