Very saddened to hear of Tim's passing. My heart goes out to his family and many friends who will miss him as I do. Tim was a good friend who was tireless in his efforts to help restore historic properties in Cedar Rapids after the Flood of 2008. Every time I see the Gatto Building on Third Avenue SW I think of Tim's great success in helping save and preserve an important part of the history of the Kingston Village neighborhood.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tim. I met him as the city of Cedar Rapids was coming back from the flood of 2008. I admired his dedication to bringing back historic buildings and his calm, smart and dedicated demeanor. He added so much to our community. He will be greatly missed.

I'm very sorry to hear of Timothy's passing. I was fortunate enough to witness his strong faith and his love for his family. I wish to express my thoughts and prayers to his wife and family.

I met Tim right after he bought the Gatto Building on 3rd Ave. It was by faith we met. It used to be my step dad's building and I wanted to go thru it one last time. I called the city and the city told me Tim owned it now. I called him up and he agreed to meet me. He told me he was renovating it and that anything left I could have. I got some old card board signs and I asked him about the front door. He said of course! I got it the next year and he set it aside just for me. I will never forget that moment. A very stand up guy. God Speed Tim

Tim was a great guy and a real pleasure to work with. He was always willing to dig in and help anyone who asked for his expertise. Although I haven't seen him since he retired in 2008, it seems like it was just yesterday that I saw him at his retirement party. My condolences to his family. Tim will surely be missed.
