Marc and I shared a wonderful childhood at Temple Judah and you were all a big part of our extended family and community.
Marc was a great friend, always happy, optimistic, and loyal. I am deeply saddened by his passing. Our Confirmation Class, which Marc was a part of, has expressed to me their deepest sorrow. We are sending a memorial to the Sunday School in Marc's name. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Sandy and Sol, I was so shocked to learn of the passing of Marc. I remember babysitting him when he was so young, he was the most handsome child and so sweet. I had the privilege of reconnecting with him several years ago when I was in Cedar Rapids and took my Dad to him. Of course he didn't really remember me, but I told him that what I remembered about him was his beautiful eyes. He said they still are and he was right. I can't imagine your pain, but my prayer for you both is to be surrounded by the love and comfort of family and friends and gain strength from that to help you through this loss. It is with sincere sympathy for his parents Sandy and Sol Maikon that I share my condolences for the loss of their son. The Cedar Rapids Jewish community and this city have lost a caring doctor and for me an old childhood friend, who from childhood through high school here in Cedar Rapids, we shared many a fun outing. We will honor him by saying the Kaddish, the Jewish Prayer for the deceased. My sympathy to his daughters Miriam and Sarah and his wife.
