Memorial
Sharon Ann Sterzenbach, 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery will follow service.
Sharon was born April 2, 1946 in Cedar Rapids to Thaine and Glendora (Lutz) Eby. After graduating high school, Sharon began her career with Rockwell in 1965 and worked there until her retirement in 2010.
Sharon enjoyed listening to music and going dancing with friends. When she was younger, she played the guitar in an all-girl band. She enjoyed learning about jewelry and gemstones. Sharon loved spending time with her son, Jesse. She was a devoted caretaker and mother. She adored her granddaughter, Bryanna. Sharon will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by two sons: Norm (Danielle) Sterzenbach of Des Moines and Jesse Sterzenbach of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter Bryanna Sterzenbach of Des Moines; three brothers: Gary (Nancy) Eby of Kirkland, Washington; Ron (Jacque) Eby; and Ben Eby, both of Hiawatha; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.
