Robert “Bob” Pazour, 85, lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Manor Care.
Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Cedar Memorial is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bob was born January 8, 1931 in Cedar Rapids to Joseph and Julia (Valisch) Pazour. After graduating high school, he served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, Bob was united in marriage to Dolores Pickerill on September 19, 1954.
Bob owned and operated Pazour Motor Sports for over sixty years. Motorcycles were his passion. He was the Iowa State Dirt Track Champion in both 1956 and 1957, and he was a charter life member of the American Motorcyclist Association. Bob was also a longtime member of the Shriners.
He is survived by two sons, Patrick Pazour of St. Louis, Missouri and Timothy Pazour of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dolores in 2010, brothers Joseph and Chuck, and sister Julia.
