Though we only met once face-to-face Jim shared a great deal of genealogical information with me and many others. He will be sorely missed in the various research communities.

Jim was an inspiration to all and was setting a goal for all of us to attain. I cached with him many times. It was always an adventure and a FUN one. Until then.......

Peace be with his family. I know he will be missed.

We've know the "great Jim Clark" since 2000 when we started keeping bees. He was a storehouse of information about beekeeping and many other things. We enjoyed visiting with Jim at beekeeping events and when we stopped by to visit with him at the house. He will be greatly missed by many people. Our prayers and sympathy go out to the whole family as their loss is greater than ours.

Jim was a very special person to me. He called me one day an wanted to travel to Fort Madison, Ia to cache with me. Just imagine traveling 120 miles one way to cache with someone. The day was great and we found over 20 caches. He shared a lot of experiences that day that I will never forget. What a neat guy and RIP Jim, we will never forget you. My prayers an thoughts go out to his family.

Jim was truly a great man .He always loved to tell stories of a great cache he had found .I was doing the 4.5 event and knew I would hold the others back and just as I was going to say go on with out me Jim pulls up with his "tool" pitch fork I take a look and said I got this if he can then dang it I can too silly me he surprise all of us I even think he lead the group on a few of the finds he will be missed.

I won't forget the man who wore the ruler suspenders. He always had something interesting to share at geocaching events.

I went back and looked at the ‘early years’ in Jim’s geocaching history. He found his first cache on July 18, 2009 and though July 26 he found 11 caches. He got his first GPS on July 27. That is 11 finds by just using on-line maps. I think we found our first cache together on November 28, 2009 with many more to follow over the years. He had an amazing memory as can be seen in some of his geocache logs. There is a lot of history of the area in some of them. We had many good times together out ‘on the trail’ and he will be missed.

A lot of people go through life wondering if they will make a mark. Jim's family need not worry. He made his mark again and again and again. I appreciate the opportunity to have known him and cached with him. My thoughts are with the Clark family.

"One of a Kind" is the best phrase that I can use to describe Jim. The man had the most interesting stories to tell and when he was around there was never a dull moment. I had the pleasure of getting to meet him via geocaching. I will miss reading his logs, miss the stories, and most of all, will miss seeing him at events. We'll miss you, JDLC! My prayers to all of his family in this difficult time.

Jim and his cache hides had a profound influence on me and the caches I have hidden. We will miss and cherish the conversations we would have about the different caches he said we needed to find and why they were hidden. Our prayers go out to his friends and family. JDLC1936 will be forever missed.

Jim was a great friend and geocacher. He lived his life to the fullest and left his impression on a lot of people. I will miss his geocaching conversations and stories. I will make sure I will follow his words of wisdom and "cache while I can". My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Clark family.
