James Deloss Clark, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday April 22, 2015 in the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. A memorial Geocaching Event is planned on Sunday May 3, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Clark, a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Clark of Elizabeth, Colorado, a son, Scott Clark of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his grandchildren; Kyle Clark and Chad Clark, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his brothers; Jerry Clark of Coralville, Iowa and Bill Clark of Florence, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Clark.
James was born April 7, 1936 in Indianola, Iowa, the son of Dorris and LaVaughn (Smith) Clark. He married Betty Jean Klenk on June 7, 1958 in Iowa City, Iowa. James retired from Rockwell International in 1992 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed geocaching, beekeeping, woodworking, R.C. Airplanes, photography and family genealogy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in memory of James.
