Memorial
Lannie Conn III, 57, of 137 29th Street Drive SE died Tuesday April 19, 2011 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy after a short illness. Memorial services at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy, two daughters, Amber (Paul) Boshart of Melbourne, Florida and Alyssa Christenson of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Lannie IV who is in the service stationed in Germany and Alex of Cedar Rapids; three step-children, Brittneee and Jesseca Barrette and Tanner Conn all of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Andre Sharp of Hudson, Florida, father Lannie Conn Jr. of Virginia, sister Eleanor (Kenneth) Silva of Scotts Valley, California and two grandchildren Connor and Ashlyn. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald and an aunt Jessie.
Lannie was born on March 23, 1954 in San Diego, California, the son of Lannie and Andre Johnson Conn Jr. He married Tammy J. Barrette on April 3, 2011 in Palo. Lannie was an HVAC mechanic for Johnson Control and Trane for over 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing, surfing, model airplanes and especially the time he spent with his beloved family and many friends. He was a wonderful son, husband, and father who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
