Mary Ann Bishop, 88, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday May 21, 2026, in Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital. Services: 1:00 p.m. Friday May 29, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday May 28, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4:00 -7:00 p.m.
She is survived by her son, James Bishop. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale and three brothers.
Mary was born on November 27, 1937, the daughter of Clarence and Marie (Greenwood) Oberfoell, in Dyersville, Iowa, where she attended school.
She was united in marriage to Dale Walter Bishop on September 19, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Mary worked for Mercy Hospital for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, collecting Antiques and garage sales. She was a homemaker. She deeply cared for her family.
