Dear Leo and family,
I am so privileged to have known Louise and her family. My mother LOVED her for over 50 years. Mom and Louise always giggled at how their husbands could argue one minute, and then just a few minutes later, there would be silence in the other room... Mom and Louise thought they had reached some kind of truce, peeked in...lo and behold, they were snoring in harmony in their chairs. We will always have Louise with us, especially when we make those recipes she lovingly wrote for my mom. With love and prayers,
Patty Hove McNerney

Mr. Greco and children: My condolences to all of you. I only recently heard of Mrs. Greco's passing. Dear Leo and family,
I met Louise when she came with you and Bug Holle when you entertained at the Mercy Auxiliary - Clinton luncheon. She was such a sweet lady and we all enjoyed the 3 of you so much. When we went to the omelet breakfast at Camp Courageous I got a big hug from her and I'll never forget that. The comfort we as Christians have is that we know this isn't the end and we will all meet in Heaven some day. God bless you, Leo, and your children and grandchildren and I will pray for comfort and strength to help you during these difficult days.

Leo: We cannot share any memories of your wife as we have never met her both of us have, in the past, heard you and your band play in area dance halls and have enjoyed waltzes, circle 2-steps, etc. but we would like to offer our sympathy to you and your family. May you all find comfort in knowing and believing that by faith in Jesus as one's personal Savior, one will also then be saved by that grace of our Heavenly Father and be re-united in Heaven with similar family members and friends who likewise believe and trust in Jesus as their personal Savior.
You have played the song, "You're My Best Friend" for our family and friends in the past and the words of this song are also wonderful to bring comfort and memories to the heart and soul at times like this. May God keep you all in His tender care.

Louise was truly a lady. She was gentle, caring and so very sweet. We loved to join her and Leo at the Camp Courageous Pineapple Gala. Louise loved to talk about her children and, of course, her Leo. She even gave me her recipe for Broccoli Soup and we love it. She was truly a treasure. We shall miss her a lot.
Lovingly,

Dear family of Louise Greco,
Deepest sympathy on the loss of your spouse, mother, grandmother and friend. May many happy memories give you comfort at this sad time.
I'd like to share a story. My sister Bernice Tobiason and Louise lived at the YWCA in Des Moines when both were going to AIB. One happy shopping day both gals were all dress up including hats were happily walking down the street in Des Moines and were photographed by a street photographer. I remember it was a great photo! Bernice died in 1996 from cancer at age 73. I have the photo.
Sincerely,

Dear Linda, Leo and Family,
We were sorry to hear of your loss.
I hope this story by H. Van Dyke will be of comfort:
"I am standing on the seashore,
A ship sails in the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her
Till at last she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says:
"She is gone."
Gone! Where?
Gone from my sight - that is all.
She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her
And just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me,
not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
"She is gone",
There are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout:
"There she comes"
- and that is dying, the horizon and just the limit of our sight."

To all the memebers of the wonderful Greco family,
All of the Ketelsen family shares in your loss of this wonderful lady. Louise was an obvious pillar of strength in the Greco family. Her warm smile is worn on the faces of all of you. This is just one of many gifts she left for this world.
I must smile and remind us of the urban legend of the many days when Louise and our mother Marjorie would go to Weight Watchers and then head to Bishop's
for a celebretory piece of pie!
We will think of our moms often, and smile all the while.
Peace be with you all, Randy Ketelsen

I moved across the street from Leo and Louise in 1981 - when I was 5 years old. What wonderful neighbors to grow up with! I distinctly remember how kind and generous both Leo and Louise were to me as a child. My father Tim Hines and grandfather Jack Hines always spoke very highly, with the utmost respect for the Greco Family.
I am truly sorry for your loss & I hope it comforts you to know Louise is now at peace.

Dear Grecos- I can't say how saddened I was to hear of Aunt Louise's death. All my heartfelt sympathies to all of you at this time. Myself, I have absolutely nothing but good memories of Aunt Louise and the times we spent when I was young, chatting at her kitchen table after school with Jell-O cups in hand! The fact that she was willing to sit with a young, quiet girl and go over my day has helped make me a better person. Her understanding and patience have been invaluable gifts and lessons for me as I've grown up. Know, again, that I'm thinking of all of you at this time, albiet from very, very far away! Anne

I am one of the countless thousands who probably never met Louise; but having met Leo you had the sense that you knew his whole family on a personal basis. Leo is such a caring person and I am certain this is a difficult time. The support of family and friends will help to heal the loss and replace the grief with the memories of a wonderful life and family.

And to those here who will remember the joy of Louise's life-have her in your heart, your mind and your spirit... and she will always live on.
