Jack E. Edmunds, 93, of Marion, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Linn Manor Care Center.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service celebrating the life of Jack will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with Ryan Northfield of Hope Evangelical Church officiating.
Jack was born on July 30, 1933, to Neal and Helen (Oxley) Edmunds. Throughout his professional career, he spent 35 years in management with Alliant Energy, where he earned the respect of colleagues through his dedication and leadership. Jack was also a proud Master Mason and an active member of his community. In his leisure time, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies, particularly photography and amateur (ham) radio. One of his greatest joys was the lifelong friendships he cultivated. For more than 30 years, he faithfully gathered each Sunday with a close-knit group of friends, affectionately known as the "Breakfast Group," sharing conversation, laughter, and camaraderie that became a cherished tradition.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his longtime companion, Donna Foege; his sister, Donna; his brother, David; and his daughter, Tracy Anderson.
Jack is survived by his loving daughter, Amy (Russell) Barta; his cherished grandchildren, Brook, Jackie, Haley, Holden, Mitchell, and Bennett; his brother, Niel; his sister, Charlie; and many other beloved family members.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Jack's honor to Boys Town, in Nebraska.
