Patricia “Pat” Kathleen Davis, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. John XXIII Catholic Church: 8100 Roncalli Drive, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404. The visitation will be at the church, prior to the funeral mass, beginning at 9:30 AM. The burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pat was born June 24, 1932, in rural Linn County, the daughter of Frances Lee and Mary (Murphy) O’Connell. She married Thomas Davis on May 29, 1954, in Fairfax. Pat was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her beloved family. Pat was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her children, Mary Martin, Tim (Pat) Davis and Diane (Mick) Alsager; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Pat was preceded in death by husband, Tom, her parents, and seven siblings: George O'Connell, Mary Winfrey, Rita Hohenshell, Danny O'Connell, JoAnne Sullivan, Sister Brigid O'Connell, and Mike O'Connell.
Pat's family would like to thank the caring staff at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids and Hospice of Mercy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed the Catherine McAuley Center, Metro Catholic Outreach, Catholic Worker House, St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of your choice.
