Wilbert R. “Bill” Behn, Jr., passed away January 7, 2024, at Cottage Grove Place, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Wilbert was born on September 24, 1938, in Washington D.C. He was an Air Force reservist and retired as a technical writer for Rockwell Collins. He enjoyed boating, woodworking, photography and traveling.
Bill is survived by his sister, Carolyn Ryan of Omaha, Nebraska; step-son, Jason (Heidi) Strohman of Cedar Rapids; and step-granddaughter, Kenna Strohman of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Janet and parents, Wilbert and Helen Behn.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Granite City, 4755 1st Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids. Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.
