Bob and Carol were neighbors in Sutherland Square. I remember their great partnership. And his soft spot for pets. A little known act was feeding feral kittens. He was a fine man, father, husband and citizen.

I was in a band for a short time with Mike Kucharski and remember him as a quiet and graceful person. My faith tells me that Robert is home now with our Lord Jesus Christ and surrounded by the glory of God! Love and peace to the Kucharski family!

My locker at McKinley Junior High was a few down from Mark's; there weren't many students between Ku and Li. I remember him as a fine young man, quiet and kind. Our class was saddened by his loss. I didn't know Bob, but it warmed my heart to read in the paper this morning how he turned Mark's death into something positive for himself and other young people. Praying that God's peace sustains the family during this time of grief. From Mark's junior high classmate, Hilery Livengood

Sorry we were never closer, my only brother. I can not attend your going away because I can not walk. Forgive me. Say hello to all the family for me and tell them I will be coming soon. Your loving brother.

A nicer man there hasn’t been.

I worked for Bob in Accounting at IES Industries Inc. in the 1990’s. He was always kind to me and I’ll never forget him giving my husband and I Cedar Rapids Symphony tickets one month when he and his wife, Carol, were unable to attend. That was so thoughtful of him. My sympathy to his family, friends and all who cared about him. Kelly Faurot

My sympathy to your family. I started with Iowa Electric in the mid 80's. Dayle Broocks

Mike and family, I am sorry for your loss. I worked for Bob for several years in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
