The International Society of Bassists sends its deepest sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of our beloved fellow member Dick Kriz. He always enclosed a funny bass cartoon with his annual membership renewal, which we looked forward to! We loved meeting him at the 1999 ISB convention at the University of Iowa. He will be missed and remembered, definitely one of a kind.

I am sorry I wasn't able to attend the funeral, but you have all been in my thoughts since I heard about Dick. He was a warm, thoughtful person, and a great musician who loved sharing music with his many friends and fans. I hope you are all taking comfort in years of happy memories from his well-lived life.
