Jeff Rummells, 58, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023. A visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2023, 6-8 pm, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Private ceremony with burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Aimee; son, Jon Rummells; daughter, Emily (Jerry) Smith; grandchild, Rhys Rummells; mother, Rita Rummells; siblings, Laura Nelson, Jennifer (Scott) Tjaden, and Jim (Laurie) Rummells; mother-in-law, Linda (Harold) Eckhardt; sisters-in-law Christy (Michael) Eckhardt, and Jacy (Erik) Haefke; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Rummells and father-in-law, Daniel Peddycoart.
Jeff Rummells was born December 22nd, 1964, in Cedar Rapids to David and Rita Rummells. He married his high school sweetheart, Aimee, and they were blessed with 40 loving years of marriage. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1983. He pursued a career at FedEx for 34 years, while always making time to support, raise, and love his family. Jeff selflessly extended a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. Apart from enjoying time with his family, Jeff could be found tinkering in his shop, elbows deep in a transmission, or speeding down the highway in his convertible. Jeff lives on in the hearts of those he touched, the stories he told, and the memories that were made with him. It cannot be said enough how deeply he will be missed.
