It can safely be stated that all of Anna Mae's relatives admired this elegant and stately lady. She was one-of-a-kind, who didn't merely distinguish herself through longevity (everyone was pulling for her to reach 100), but by the quality of life she led in our midst. She was so pleasant to be around with her engaging smile and welcoming demeanor. In her later years, no doubt many people went to visit hoping to uplift her spirits, only to come away themselves uplifted. She was an inspiration to us all, definitely a life well-lived. To share a memory relative to her culinary reputation, my two cousins, Allen Michael, Cecil Kuhn, and I (better known as The Three Musketeers because we were so inseparable), happened to be near the farmhouse one day around lunchtime. Being predictably hospitable, Anna Mae invited us to stay for lunch. In hindsight, our willing acceptance proved to be a bad decision from our standpoint, totally due to our sheer gluttony in the face of her amazing cooking skills. By the time we finished the savory lunch (which of course included a decadent dessert), our misery was so intense that we soon found ourselves groaning and rolling around on the front lawn in hopes of relieving our considerable discomfort, which took a while. It's a mystery as to how family members stayed so thin. Anna Mae certainly left us with a wonderful legacy filled with so many pleasant memories. The world could use more Anna Mae's. May she rest in peace.

Dear Ones, She was a blessing in everyone's life. When we have someone we love so much It is hard to let them go to a better place! The blessing is that the more wonderful they are the harder is to let them go. Bless your family! I am so glad I got to know your wonderful son, Dewey! He reflects your kindness as do all your children! Prayers and love to your family! Rest in peace! Marlene H. July 25, 2023

Dewey and family, Please be assured our thoughts and prayers are with you. Your mother was a lovely lady. Our brother Michael was very fond of her and spoke so kindly of Anna Mae. He often mentioned how much he enjoyed making her laugh. May the peace of Christ comfort you at this sorrowful time. With love, The Southwood and Hepworth Family

We are so sorry to see Anna Mae has died. She was such an elegant lady and we enjoyed visiting with her each time we saw her. Her heart and humor were traits many of us will never forget. Bless the family and know we will never forget your Mom!

She was elegance and Grace to me and always will be. I am saddened by loss but heartened by the example she set forth for all of us at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. Her birthday “bomb” of cards was a fun undertaking for our community, recognizing a wonderful lady as her adage of age being “mind over matter” was on full display! May God Bless the memory of Anna Mae and may all the Angels, Saints, Holy men and Holy women welcome her into God’s eternal Grace.

Denise, So sorry to hear of your dear mother's passing. I know how special she was to you. May the fond memories you hold in your heart provide comfort in the days ahead. Blessings, Kellie

Donna and Mike. Sorry to hear about your loss. I remember her and mom would always sit in the front of the church. She would always say hi to mom and they would talk about everything before church.
