Norma led a full and interesting life. I didn’t know this about her but I am not surprised. I remember her as a Franklin parent who raised wonderful children when I taught at Franklin in the late 1960’s. My condolences to all of her family.

Please accept our deepest sympathy in the passing of your mother. Norma was a beloved sorority sister within the Cedar Rapids/Marion Beta Sigma Phi organization and in her own chapter, Preceptor Lambda. My mother and Norma shared many good times and rides together to their meetings. Love, Preceptor Delta Kappa Chapter

I always had fond memories of my conversations with Norma at our family gatherings! She was a lovely, spirited woman who enjoyed sharing her life with me and had a genuine and sincere interest in learning about our lives as well. She was blessed with a long and abundant life of service, family and friendship.

Most certainly a stellar example of the Greatest Generation along with Husband Lumir. Norma was always very nice to our family and a pleasure to be around expressing sincere interest in how we were doing.. Always enjoyed eating her Bakery!! What a full life!! RIP and into the light.

I was so sorry to learn of Norma's passing. I met her in Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was such a delight to be around. We had many chats and laughs. She always took new people under her wings. Rest In Peace Norma.

Our sympathies from the pharmacy staff at the Hy-Vee grocery store on Johnson Ave.

Marion and I were saddened to learn of Norma's death. We have known her since we moved to Cedar Rapids in 1978. She was an amazing volunteer at the Indian Creek Nature Center for nearly all of its 50 years, helping the Guild and many special projects. She was always delightful to be around and was always encouraging. Rich Patterson, Director Emeritus, Indian Creek Nature Center.

Mike & Gayla, I'm so saddened to learn of your beautiful Mother's passing. What a busy lady. I met her someplace, but sorry I don't remember where, but I do know we talked about you. She is one special lady. God Bless her and you have my sincere sympathy. Miss you in Mt. Vernon. Annamae
