Judith (Judy) Lynn Chapman Jilka Moore passed away peacefully March 30, 2022, at the age of 83.  Judy was born July 17, 1938, in Glasco, Kansas to Don Allen Chapman and Helen Gertrude Long Chapman.  She married Daniel Leroy Jilka, and they were blessed with 2 daughters, Sheila Sue Jilka Burton and Sharalyn Kay Jilka.   Judy and Dan divorced and Judy later married Franklin Moore.  

Judy had many accomplishments during her lifetime – interior designer, real estate agent, sales and professional shopper.  Her greatest achievement was the unconditional love of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  

Judy is survived by her daughters, Sheila Burton (Andy), Polk City, Iowa and Shari Jilka, Seattle, Washington; five grandchildren, Andrew Burton (Elaine), Mesa, Arizona; Abby Burton (Jordan Bowers), Scottsdale, Arizona; Matt Deehring (Ione), Adam Deehring, and Nick Deehring (Daisy Bower) all of Seattle, Washington; great-grandchildren, Penelope and Piper Deehring and Annabelle Burton; step-daughter, Mashall (Sam) Nemers and Mary Nemers; sister, Cynthia Eloise Chapman Ochs; nieces and nephews, Lisa Dawn Ochs Coen, Rene’ Lynn Ochs Morris, Melinda Kay Chapman Van Eaton, Erik Paul Chapman and Lane Jacob Chapman; sister-in-law Teresa Chapman Guyer and Janice (Virgil) Henley and brother-in-law Edward (Geri) Moore.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Don Allen Chapman II, Daniel Leroy Jilka and Franklin Moore.    

Judy will be laid to rest at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  A private service will be held April 4, 2022, in Cedar Rapids.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
