So sorry for the Family loss. Rita was a lovely and great lady. We ate so glad that we got to know her and Jennifer. I know she will be truly missed.

Rest in peace, Aunt Rita! I have very fond memories of visiting you and Uncle Ed when I was young. You were always kind and had a smile for everyone. I remember how talented you were as a seamstress. I always looked forward to seeing you, Uncle Ed, and your girls at the family reunion.

Sorry to hear of Rita's passing, her and Ed were great neighbors when they lived in Muscatine. I remember helping my sister Cheryl babysit back when the girls were young. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Condolences to all of her family. What a funny and amazing women she was. She will be missed by many but in loving hands in heaven.

Mom (Laverle Dake) moved next door to Rita in 2007. Little did we know that right next door Rita and Jennifer would be her "home away from home." Rita would call Mom and invite her to join them for dinner. Jennifer's salmon was Mom's favorite. Rita and Jennifer told us that they would wait to hear her "uhmmms" after she took a bite. There was never any doubt that Mom was happy with the food and, of course, the sweet company so freely offered by Rita and Jennifer. Rita was such a blessing and all of us kids were so happy knowing that she was always there for Mom. As Mom would tell us often, "I've never in my life had a friend like Rita!" Rita had her strong Catholic faith and practiced it faithfully. As Seneca said, "the day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of eternity." Rest in peace, sweet Rita!

Sincere condolences to the Lange family. I worked with Ed and Mary and played bridge with Rita. May the Lord welcome her to heaven to reunite with all of her deceased relatives and friends.

My dad & your grandpa Ed were first cousins and I knew of Rita from our Lange family reunions held yearly, till I was an adult, in the Muscatine, IA area. She was a sweet, kind & fun-loving gal! Deepest condolences to your entire family.

Rita we miss you already! Shared many good laughs over the years since we met, lots of hands of cards, wonderful lunches and many thoughts and prayers. Will surely miss our Hawkeye moments with you and many other moments. Good bye dear friend until we meet again!

Rita and I were friends for over 50 years and played in many bridge clubs over the years. Lots of partying went on with our husbands and friends and outings on their annual boat party in Coralville. I will miss her!
