I knew Martin for a number of years. He was always pleasant, and thoughtful. He was one of the good guys.

Martin and I grew up together in the NW neighborhood, going through grade school at Harrison Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High and finally Kennedy High School. Although I lost track of him after graduation, I remember him fondly as a kind and gentle soul. My condolences to his family.
