I have been calling Tom my American Grandfather ever since I was born. Our relationship with the Janik family goes back in 60s, started with my mom, passed onto our generation, and has continued up to these days. The most humble and devoted person as he was, Tom would be always remembered as the strongest man who had given constant love and care to our family. The sky of Cedar Rapids would not look the same without Tom, but it would now reflect his image from Heaven where I look forward to seeing him again when the time comes.

Tom was a good friend for over 40 years and someone I enjoyed and respected greatly. First class in every respect and involved in our community always adding value to everything he touched. Rest In Peace.

Those of us who knew Tom and his wife, Bette as patients, were always impressed by their bond and respect towards each other. We will miss him. - Dr. John Callaghan and Lori Yoder

Bette, we are so very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He always had such a nice smile - and was the person who introduced us to pickleball, a sport we still enjoy! Our deepest sympathy to you all.

Bette, Chris and I are so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. Tom was a great man and a terrific mentor to me. He taught me so much about the business world. I deeply respected him for his keen business mind and patience he shared with me as I learned from him at Souvenir Pen & Pencil. You have our deepest sympathy and are in our prayers. Doug Miskimen

Bette...I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. May your memories offer you comfort during this difficult time. You have my deepest sympathy. Vickie
