Denise Ann Bellmer, nee Ilick, of Cedar Rapids, went home to be with her Lord on Monday July 19, 2021, from her long-term battle with Type 1 diabetes. Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 24, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where a visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Burial: Czech National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband Scott A. Bellmer, her daughter Carleigh Bellmer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and grandson, Montana Bellmer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her nephews, Hans (Jamie) Wachal of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Chase Wachal of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and niece, Easton (Dillon) Kuda of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and great nephew, Kinnick Kuda of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Also surviving are many cousins, her beloved dogs, Kenny, Sadie and her five cats. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pam Wachal, and several uncles.
Denise was born July 6, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Guy Carlton and Alice (Mitchell) Ilick. She married Scott A. Bellmer on May 13, 1995, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Denise was a legal secretary for 20+ years. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races with her grandson Montana. Denise was an avid Hawkeye and Arizona Cardinal Fan.
