Elver was a resident of mine when I worked at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. He was always quick with a smile and good word. You could always find him watching Cubs games and even though I am not a Cubs fan, that was always my first search on google, looking for the game for him. He was known for saying “Never had it better” when asked how he was, or “ hurry up and wait” and “what’s for dessert?” when it came to meal time. Elver is one I will never forget, and will miss taking care of deeply.

I took care of Greta when she lived at Hallmar. Elver was very devote in visiting her daily. I became to know him during that time. Condolences to the family.

Elver was our neighbor. He was always friendly and would stop to talk sometimes on his way to dinner at the Vernon Inn. Sympathy to his family.

Elver was my patient before I retired five years ago. I remember Elver as a cheerful gentleman who enjoyed visiting and was also ready to smile and laugh. He was always very appreciative of any assistance that our office provided.
