Coleen Carol Toenges, 66, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa.
Coleen was born February 24, 1955 in Postville, Iowa, the daughter of Roger and Marilyn (Gordon) Christofferson. Coleen was employed at Titonka Care Center, Algona Community School District, White House Black Market, and Dress Barn. In her free time, she enjoyed boating, cooking, fishing, playing with the grandchildren, but her greatest joy of all was being a mother to her two sons and three grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Duane Toenges; two sons, Josh Toenges, Jason (Lindsay) Toenges and grandchildren, Hayden, Kayla, and Peyton; her mother, Marilyn Christofferson; and sister, LuAnn (Hall) Swenson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Christofferson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Stroke Association.
