Ryan Michael Shultz, 38 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30th at Faith Bible Church: 1800 46th Street NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
As mandated by proclamation, social distancing must be practiced. The use of facemasks or shields is required.
Ryan Michael Shultz was born on October 11, 1982 in Dodge City, Kansas the beloved son of Chris and Annette (Kendrick) Shultz. He graduated from Weatherford High School in Texas and attended Texas A & M. Ryan was united in marriage to Jody Rees on February 2, 2013 in Lawrence, Kansas. Ryan was currently employed at International Paper as a Customer Service Representative. He attended Faith Bible Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Ryan’s true passion was all the great times spent with Jody and his children. He enjoyed basketball, watching sports, listening to music, playing video games, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. Ryan was compassionate, friendly, giving, hard worker and had a heart of gold. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, fun loving father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to honor Ryan include his loving wife, Jody and their children, Ava, Adeline, Liesel and Baron Shultz all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his parents, Chris and Annette Shultz of Eudora, Kansas; two brothers, Levi (Jessica) Shultz of San Antonio, Texas; and Pierce Shultz of Manhattan, Kansas; a sister, Maria Shultz of Texas; In-Laws, Grant and Nancy Rees of Center Point, Iowa; and many loving nieces, nephews and a large extended loving family and friends.
