So thankful for Charles when we lived in Cedar Rapids (2003-2005). We’d “mall-walk” together, or he’d stop by to visit during the day sometimes. As I began pastoring after college, I was thankful for his willingness to spend time & share his wisdom. I always remembered his humble love for others and for the Church. I hope others see such Love of Jesus in me.

We both loved Uncle Chuck very much. He was a good uncle. I took him to lunch about once a month before Covid -19, and he came to visit but was so very very busy with church activities. He always told me he loved me and that he prayed for Mary and me. Age and health prevented us from being at this beautiful service today and we are thankful it was streamed and we could be there online. We know you are with our Jesus now Uncle Chuck. Mary and Milt

My deepest sympathies to the family on the loss of Charles. I was able to get to know him over the last few years as his physical therapist, and he was the nicest, most gentle and considerate man. I always enjoyed visiting with him and hearing his stories while we worked together. May he rest in eternal peace, Godspeed Charles.
